    1927: Ellis Steel Founded

    Ellis Steel founded in Jackson, MS by E.B. Ellis in 1927.
  2. 1950: Headquarters Relocated

    Mr. E.B. Ellis moved the company from Jackson to West Point, MS in the early 1950’s.
  3. 1980: Firm Acquired by Ellis Steel

    Present ownership acquired Ellis Steel in July, 1980. At that time the company had 4 employees.
  4. 1992: AISC Certification Achieved

    In 1992 Ellis Steel received its AISC certification, enabling the company to fabricate more complex steel structures.
  5. 2002: Sustained Growth

    Ellis Steel has been fortunate to participate in over 90 gaming projects during this time span. We take pride in the fact that many of the projects were from repeat customers.
  6. 2024: Success & Stability

    Presently Ellis Steel is the oldest continually operating steel company in the state of Mississippi. We currently employ over 100 team members.
